3D Treatment Planning

Implants are the gold standard in replacing missing teeth, offering the best functional, restorative and cosmetic outcomes of all tooth replacement options. Achieving these results requires precise and detailed treatment planning on a case-by-case basis. Sydney dentist Dr Hugh Fleming is among a select few dentists in Australia who can provide the combination of skill, experience and advanced technology necessary to achieve the best implant outcome.

The first stage of implant treatment involves obtaining a clear image of the implant site. Dr Fleming uses a technique called Cone Beam Computed Tomography to develop a highly accurate 3D image of the proposed site. This 3D image can then be digitally manipulated, allowing Dr Fleming to make an accurate assessment of the limiting structures within the site, and to determine their effect on the proposed implant treatment.

Once the image has been assessed and a customised treatment plan has been developed, the next stage involves the fabrication of a custom-made surgical guide, or template, which will allow for extremely precise implant placement. The use of a precision surgical guide allows for optimal functional and aesthetic implant placement in a minimally invasive manner, often utilising keyhole surgery, with minimal discomfort and rapid healing.

The field of dentistry is constantly evolving, and Dr Fleming has invested heavily in advanced implant imaging and surgical technologies, to provide optimal treatment planning, and ultimately, better clinical outcomes.  Dental implants are a complex procedure requiring a high level of skill and precision, and the quality of treatment planning can be make-or-break in implant success. Dr Fleming combines over 25 years of experience in placing and restoring dental implants with use of contemporary imaging and dental technologies, to give your implant treatment every chance of success.
